About Me

How was your brand begun to be made? or how did you come up with what you want to be?

I have made my own branding (Oodlenoodle08) before but soon questioned myself further if this is what other people see me as well. After experimenting a little, the outcome wasn’t exactly what I wanted and was unsatisfied. Therefore, after talking with a friend who introduced me to create a “Branding”, I have decided to create a new Branding that matches my personality as far as who I am as an artist.Ewaine started with 3 purposes. 1.) To create a professional portfolio that resembles myself, 2.) To know myself even better, and 3.) To create a character based on my branding or which you can call an Artist Persona. I had consultations and help from many wonderful artistic classmates that eventually blossomed into friendships I grew fond of. We first talked about my personality brief and aligned my personality with colour. After a series of debates about the colour that matches my personality well, I was introduced to a colour from Keith. As described by Pantone (2016), “an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace”. It was a colour I never knew existed, Serenity Rose Quartz. Later on, I would jot down notes about ideas and make an inspirational board that will soon be connected with how I would present myself to a public audience and confirm it with them. Creating this brand of mine was a long and arduous journey… However, I enjoyed every single bit of it and I’m delighted to say that I grew fond of the branding that I have right now.

How long have you been that kind of person (artist)?

I have been drawing and scribbling a lot in my childhood. You can see my previous notebooks have different drawings of Pokemon at the back of the notebook and pure random things from my imagination. As I grow older, I became fond of anime that I watch on television, especially the anime show called “Sugar Sugar Rune”. That was when I started practicing drawing cute art featuring those two female witches. I used to draw traditionally because that was what I can afford to own so after saving up on my 18th birthday, I bought my first simple pen tablet. Drawing for me was supposed to be a happy hobby of mine, however, despite my mind already set a goal for me to study Architecture and follow the academic road to success just like my family does, I can’t shake this affinity of mine to become a famous illustrator because of always seeing fantasy-inspired illustrations and fanarts from anime and videogames I’ve played before, especially when I saw my favorite Japanese illustrators draw so magical and with outstanding quality that stands out around the internet. Thus, after contemplating a ton about myself, college courses like multimedia arts, and my parent’s thoughts regarding my decision to follow a different path, I am now the artist that you see today. An artist who’s fond of drawing fantasy-inspired illustrations and fanarts from video games I’ve played and animes I’ve watched.

I play as Joseph sometimes from Identity V.✨Hobbies: Drawing (Traditional and Digital), studying Nihongo, listening to music, playing video games, reading manga, and watching YouTube videos that match my interests (currently it’s all about productivity!).✨Favourite Colour: Blue, Black, White, Strawberry Red, and Matcha/Olive Green.✨Favourite Mangas: Blue Period, Blue Lock, Witch Hat Atelier, and Toilet Bound Hanako-kun.✨Favourite Animes: Sket Dance (Kenta Shinohara), Bocchi the Rock!!, Violet Evergarden, and Your Name (Makoto Shinkai).✨Favourite Cartoons: Gravity Falls, Adventure Time, The Little Prince, The Amazing World of Gumball, and Over the Garden Wall.✨Favourite Foods: Ramen (I like how customizable it is), Matcha, Ice-cream, and Donuts.✨Favourite Songs: Wasurena (Awesome City Club) and Ao No Waltz (E ve), I mostly listen to Jpop and other songs that piqued my interest (Official Hige Dandism, King Gnu, Maaya Sakamoto, Vocaloid, Yoasobi, Monster Siren from Arknights, Ginger Root, and etc.).
